Welcome to Girl Curls!

Leaving a Legacy One Day at a Time
IMG_6823

Hi! I’m Kristen and I’m so glad that you are here!

I’m a wife to a southern gentleman, a homeschool mama of 4, and a lover of God and His Word! I have a deep and burning desire to leave a legacy of faith.

Genesis 5 impacted how I viewed my life. The Word tells us…

 Adam lived…and then he died.

Seth lived…and then he died.

Enosh lived…and then he died.

I read name after name with this same story, until we come to Enoch.

Enoch lived, became a father like the rest of them mentioned in this chapter, but then his story is interrupted when it is noted that “Enoch walked with God…”  He had other sons and daughters and then we read again “Enoch walked with God…” (Genesis 5:22-23)

I want that to be my story! I don’t want it to be written that Kristen lived and then she died. Leaving a legacy is what I crave. I want a story interrupted!  A story that ends with “Kristen walked with God”.

So here is my place. My canvas to share my legacy. To write the words God gives me, sharing stories of our everyday life.

I hope you’ll consider joining me as I share about my faith and family. Leaving a legacy of words for my curly haired girl, her brothers, and anyone else who chooses to follow along.

A Few Loves

I love my wonderful, joyful, oftentimes messy life.

I love my husband. 15 years later I can honestly say I would never choose another.

I love my kids. Our days may be loud and chaotic at times, but it’s also full of tender moments making my heart overflow with love.

I love writing. Sharing through my blog makes my soul dance and I enjoy every single minute of it!

I love…

  • Hanging out in my PJ’s for an entire day
  • Mentors
  • Pretzel M&M’s
  • All things Christmas
  • Ellis’s curls 🙂
  • A good movie
  • Psalm 37:4

Sit back and enjoy as I share my days: laughing, loving, learning, and… losing it!  Wait, did I just say that?

Time to get real. 🙂

Can’t wait to hear from you!
